About Robert
Rob Wilder is the managing partner of Caldwell’s Dubai office, leads the firm’s operations across the Middle East & North Africa, and is a key member of the Financial Services, FinTech, and Private Equity practices. With over 25 years of experience advising organizations on board and executive succession, leadership assessment and development, and executive search, Rob has a proven track record of helping clients build high-performing leadership teams.
Since 2007, Rob has been deeply connected with the Middle East, supporting sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, asset managers, global and local banks, FinTechs, insurers, real estate investors, and family-owned enterprises. His work spans listed companies, private equity–backed businesses, and public institutions, as well as their portfolio organizations. He is recognized for his ability to attract and integrate world-class local and international talent into pivotal leadership roles.
Experience
With a truly global perspective, Rob brings extensive cross-cultural expertise to leadership evaluation, having lived and worked across three continents. Before joining Caldwell, he spent over 15 years with Spencer Stuart across two tenures, where he helped establish the Dubai office and served clients throughout Europe and the Middle East. He also served as president, search, Asia Pacific, based in Singapore, for a global organisational consulting firm. Earlier in his career, Rob worked in marketing and sales at General Electric Company (GEC).
Education
Rob earned a B.Sc. (Hons) in geology from the University of Portsmouth.
