About Meaghan
Meaghan Loughry is a Consultant in Caldwell’s Toronto office and a member of the firm’s Professional Services Practice, focused on the recruitment of lawyers and legal executives. Meaghan works closely with management teams, legal departments, and law firms, which provides her with a unique perspective of the legal market and search process. A lawyer herself, Meaghan combines her passion for people, firsthand understanding of the practice of law, and knowledge of the legal market to contribute to clients’ long-term goals.
Experience
An empathetic and detail-oriented recruiter with natural people skills and interpersonal insight, Meaghan takes a long-term view of client-candidate relationships, striving to create a “win-win” situation for both parties by developing an accurate understanding of their needs and motivations.
Meaghan has extensive experience partnering with management teams and legal executives to build strong, effective in-house legal departments across a wide range of industries in both the private and public sectors. She also works closely with law firm leaders – including managing partners, chief talent officers, and practice group leaders – to help them identify and recruit the lawyers who best fit their teams.
Before transitioning into search, Meaghan practiced at a highly regarded global law firm and a leading Canadian professional services firm.
Education
Meaghan holds a BA from Queen’s University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Western Ontario. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 2017.
