About Garrick
Garrick Respress is a partner in Caldwell’s Academic, Not-for-Profit, Social Enterprise, and Culture (ANSEC) and Technology, Media & Entertainment practices, where he brings extensive experience leading executive search and leadership consulting engagements across higher education, secondary schools, and the global sports, media, and entertainment sectors.
Garrick has built a distinguished career partnering with boards, presidents, and senior leadership teams to identify and recruit transformational executives who drive organizational success and cultural alignment. His work spans academic and functional leadership across disciplines including finance, administration, life sciences, and healthcare, as well as leadership roles in collegiate and professional athletics, media and news organizations, and entertainment venues.
Experience
Prior to joining Caldwell, Garrick led Tatum by Randstad’s Higher Education and Schools Practice, as well as its Sports, Media & Entertainment Practice, where he was instrumental in delivering retained searches for presidents, provosts, deans, athletic directors, coaches, and senior functional executives. He has a proven record of building trusted advisory relationships with Fortune 500 companies, global universities, and nonprofit institutions, applying analytic and AI-driven search methodologies to deliver exceptional leadership outcomes.
Known for his consultative approach and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in executive leadership, Garrick is a consultative partner to clients navigating the complexities of workforce management, governance, and talent strategy. His experience in talent mobility and management consulting provides clients with a holistic perspective on leadership transitions, risk mitigation, and organizational effectiveness.
Education
Garrick holds a BBA in finance from Georgia State University’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business.
