About Ben
Ben Sturnham is a Partner in Caldwell’s Real Estate Practice and a senior member of the firm’s London team. He advises on board and C-suite appointments across the full breadth of the real estate and real estate finance sectors in the UK, Europe, and the Middle East.
With more than two decades of experience in executive search, leadership assessment, and organisational development, Ben is recognised for his track record in assembling high-performing leadership teams that accelerate growth and strengthen operational excellence. His clients span private equity firms, REITs, sovereign wealth funds, housebuilders, institutional investors, investment banks, and real estate advisory platforms.
Ben’s expertise covers the entire real estate lifecycle—from capital raising and investment management to development, operations, and asset optimisation—across residential, hospitality, commercial, retail, industrial, and mixed-use sectors. He has deep experience delivering non-executive and board mandates and is particularly known for building C-suite capability within portfolio companies, supporting value-add, core-plus, and core strategies, as well as successfully executing mandates in start-up and turnaround environments.
Experience
Before joining Caldwell, Ben was a senior client partner in Korn Ferry’s real estate practice. Earlier, he spent six years establishing and growing the real estate division of an Australian executive search boutique. He began his professional career as a rugby player, representing Saracens, Bath, and England at the international level.
