Toronto– November 3, 2011 – Retained executive search firm The Caldwell Partners International Inc. (TSX: CWL) today announced a major enhancement to its recruiting capabilities in the Financial Services Sector with the addition of Smooch Repovich Reynolds as a Partner and Leader of the firm’s Investor Relations and Communications Practice.

Ms. Reynolds most recently served as the senior vice president of communications at the Irvine Company, where she was responsible for redefining the communications function. Previously, she served as the founder and CEO of The Repovich-Reynolds Group, a retained executive search and management consulting firm specializing in the communications, investor relations and marketing functions. Ms Reynolds’ clients spanned a broad range of industries and included companies ranging from pre-IPO start-ups to Fortune 500 corporations; academic institutions and universities; and non-profit and industry associations.
Prior to joining the executive search industry, Ms. Reynolds had a successful career in public relations and communications that included tenure as a chief of staff at Hill and Knowlton, Inc, and a senior level position with United Cable Television (subsequently acquired by Comcast).
Ms. Reynolds was also the creator, producer and host of “Navigating Your Career,” a live, call-in radio show on Phoenix’s largest all-talk radio station in the late 1990’s. She also is author of the book, Be Hunted! 12 Secrets to Getting on the Headhunter’s Radar Screen, and is a contributing author to the book, Navigating Your Career, in which she wrote the chapter, “How to Take Charge When a Headhunter Calls,” both published by John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
Ms. Reynolds holds a Bachelor of Arts in broadcast journalism from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. She serves on the board of City Club on Bunker Hill, is the former chair of the board and 10-year board member for the American Cancer Society in Los Angeles and is the former chair of the board and 12-year board member for the Westridge School for Girls, also in Los Angeles.
Based in Caldwell Partners’ Los Angeles office, Ms. Reynolds joins an LA-based team that includes Darin DeWitt, leader of the firm’s Life Sciences and Healthcare Practice and Neal Maslan, prominent life sciences and healthcare search industry veteran.
