About Steven
Steven Price is a partner in Caldwell’s Life Sciences & Healthcare Practice, where he focuses on senior leadership searches for academic medical centers and medical schools.
He partners with deans and health system leaders to recruit key academic and clinical leadership roles, including regional deans, associate deans, department chairs, vice chairs, division chiefs, section chiefs, designated institutional officers, and center and institute directors. His work is concentrated in supporting medical schools and academic health systems in building leadership teams that advance clinical care, research, and medical education.
Steven brings more than 20 years of experience in physician and healthcare leadership recruitment. He has led searches and talent initiatives for a broad range of academic institutions and health systems, with a focus on complex, mission-critical roles and long-term talent strategies.
Experience
Prior to joining Caldwell, Steven led the Academic and Life Sciences Practice at Merritt Hawkins, an AMN Healthcare company. In this role, he worked closely with academic institutions, health systems, and physician organizations across the U.S. to design and execute recruitment strategies for hard-to-fill leadership and clinical positions.
Education
Steven holds a Bachelor of Business and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from Massey University in Auckland, New Zealand, and an MBA from Louisiana State University.

Steven is a Six Sigma Green Belt and a dual citizen of the United States and New Zealand. He serves on the Strategic Planning Committee for the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas.
