About Richard

Rich Perkey is a Managing Partner in Caldwell’s Board & CEO practice.

Rich is driven by the desire to help organizations maximize their positive impact via the assessment, development and recruitment of talent for lives of leadership and service. His consultative approach focuses on aligning all stakeholders around a long term vision and the “end game” for the organization – and then being relentless in the pursuit of the leader who can enable the organization to achieve its aspirations.

Drawing upon lessons learned from over 400 search engagements across the globe, Rich excels in the art and science of leadership succession. The hallmark of his work is the industry breadth and the tenure of his CEO placements. His C-suite and Board client list includes The American Cancer Society, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida, Butterball LLC, Discover Financial, Equifax, the Federal Home Loan Bank System, Forward Air, Grady Healthcare, LendingTree, Primerica, Sonoco Products, and Visa USA.

Rich joined Caldwell from Russell Reynolds Associates, where he led the Atlanta office.

Rich received a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Davidson College.

Recent Feedback

Rich and his team had the experience and expertise that I needed as they guided me through this process. I realized early on that they were sincerely interested in finding me the perfect person for my need and not just filling the position with a body. Highly recommend.” – Alan Hargett, President & CEO of Planters Bank
