About Alex
Alex Alcott is the managing partner of Caldwell’s London office and a member of the Financial Institutions Group and is a founding member of Caldwell’s DEI Council.
As an endurance athlete, Alex is focused on the core essentials of efficiency and value-add, translating these values into his search work with Limited Partners and General Partners in fundraising/business development roles, investment professionals both in direct and fund of fund businesses across EMEA, North America and Asia in Private Equity, Credit and Real Asset strategies.
With over 25 years of executive search experience, he has worked on a variety of C-suite roles including Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Commercial Officer both as one-off senior roles, as well as consultative “team builds” for newly-merged or growing organizations or private markets portfolio company rebuilds.
He has also built new executive teams, MGAs across a variety of lines of businesses and as well as all roles in the investment office within the (re)insurance sector. Working closely with private equity and recent work has included various positions in the run-off sector as well as insurance brokerage role ups.
Experience
Prior to Caldwell, Alex was a partner with Heidrick & Struggles in New York and London.
Education
Alex holds a Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of Bristol, UK.
